Happy New Year, everyone! I had posted my convictions on my Facebook last month, telling everyone that I knew writing fiction should not have been on my agenda as a Christian to write. So, here is an update on my writings: I am still working on my non-fiction. Truthfully, I am enjoying my findings in God's Word to help me write my somewhat thesis. Praise God for His infinite wisdom! To discourage anyone from looking for my second fictional book, I have as yet to put it through publishing. God kept me from publishing that one. It would have been great explaining some of the characters thereof. However, God is still my Lord, so I am not complaining much. My thesis to my non-fiction is about reading the Bible and its importance. It may appear not very interesting to anyone who enjoys fiction, but I found these Christian inspirational repertoires fascinating to read. If I had kept all of them over the years, there would have been boxes full in my room. This is my update as of today. Thank you for your interest.

Harvested pumpkins are lining up at the markets. All sizes and weights of these winter squashes give their consumers ideas of what to make of them. Some families are having fun carving their first pumpkins, while some, like myself, prefer to pass on by and head straight for the sweets department like pumpkin pie. I've carved out pumpkins before at school and home. The hardest part had been to choose what kind of facial expression because you have one chance to do it right. I was never intricate in these facial carvings. It always looked like the works of an elementary school student. Nowadays, professional carvers are working their craft that looked like they came from an electronic printer with very intricate details. Unfortunately, all pumpkins, like the story of Cinderella, put on their best faces only to last for one Halloween night. I say this to indicate my next book, which hasn't a title yet. So, I will say this much in my Book Two: God has us in the beginning. Then like all pumpkin carvers, there is an idea what kind of face to put on each particular pumpkin He has created. Each of us has His love, His plan, and His goodness. It isn't until we turn away from Him that He goes searching for us. In each process, He moulds and reshapes us until He is satisfied. Luckily for me, the pumpkin-carving season gave me a thought to tell part of my Book Two without actually giving the whole fiction away. So, without going further, I wish you all a safe and happy Halloween.

September Has begun.

It is a new month with schools starting for all students of all levels. I have been busy watching videos and learning a great deal from other writers. It is refreshing to see many writers are either doing awesome, and some doing not so well. I feel myself among them, finally. I am presently in line with those who are struggling, mainly because I have so much work to do. In a way, this is good. Many manuscripts to finish, not to mention the housework responsibilities, the dog-sharing responsibilities too, and my YouTube channel to keep up. This Fall season is a great time to go outdoors and breathe in that cool, crisp air, the wisp of that cooler breeze into my hair and face when I go out. It is a great time to just relax and let go of the stress of work. Unfortunately, I don't have that luxury. To do well, I must march onward. The test of life comes from my daily routine of writing and work. With my morning pumpkin spiced coffee in hand, September has begun.

I’m back from visiting my relatives now that the nation's holiday is over, and I will be writing soon. I’ve got several manuscripts in progress already. Book Three will be interesting. At this time, I’m wondering which city should I put this mystery. Also, I’ve got two very different manuscripts in different genres. Both are still in the introduction stages. As for Book Two, the climatic story will be puzzling for sure.

Two Novels in the making.

Since my first novel had been published, I had been writing up my second novel in series. Then my mother was sick, and died. We were in mourning for a while. My nephew picked up and got back to work. That's when I realized I had left my protagonist hanging. During the funeral service, a brother-in-christ suggested I write a biography of my mother after hearing my eulogy. It was a great idea at the time, but I found the process quite toiling. I am still deciding whether or not to write that. However, after reading many fantasy books recently, I decided to write another genre with a bit of mystery and suspenseful twist. C.S. Lewis was actually my inspiration. Reading murder mysteries and fantasy books in my past for a long time; This includes science fiction. So, this idea in changing to another genre isn't new to me. So, now, I have two novels in the making. I have so far written my Book Two in series and stopped writing for a bit, leaving it in its climatic state. I do believe the story is still climbing. One hint given, there will be two murders, just like my first novel. That is all for today.

Update on Book Two and more...

I have been blogging in my Facebook pages about what's been happening personally.. A friend from church had suggested about writing a memoir of my mother. Throughout these past months, I had taken that idea seriously and wrote a short outline. I had also asked for an advice from another non-fiction writer about the process, the possible legality of certain matters. She had been helpful. It is definitely a longer process than any fictional writing. This I knew.

Putting that aside, I had taken more time into writing my Book Two. The storyline is exciting, and pretty much still along the lines on Christianity, and crime fiction. I am hoping to make it a straight-cut storyline with weavings of flashbacks. Thank you for being patient with me.

Throughout the months since my first book is on the market, I have been busy on YouTube and Facebook promoting my book, myself, and those in my personal life. Also, I have been writing the outline of my second book, writing each chapter as it comes accordingly with new adventures for Margaret Mendel and her husband Kiel, and more characters into the storyline. It is in series, and I have great help from friends who have also been writing their own books, articles, newsletters, etc. They have been helpful contributing their opinions on my Prologue. Hope you are excited wanting to know more about the mysteries therein as I am having fun writing them. It will definitely be a longer book, with a more careful look into the characters. Until next time...
